Man, oh man! Will somebody tell Mother Nature enough already?? A white Christmas is nice and all, but this ol'gal has seen enough snow for 25 Christmas's! The snow banks have never been higher here at the store and soon I will have to provide a dog sled and a pack of dogs to haul all of you from Highway 10 to the front steps of The Porch!

Just a note to let you know that our inventory clearance sale runs through SATURDAY, JANUARY 3RD!! And here's a little incentive to get you here for this fabulous sale: ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 3RD, EVERYTHING IN THE STORE WILL BE A MINIMUM OF 30% OFF!! I must be wacko from all the snow!! This is the BEST SALE we have ever run here at the Porch and it's a ONE-DAY SALE ONLY!! Don't miss this one-time opportunity for HUGE savings.

We also want to remind you to read our winter newsletter on our website at www.backporchquilts.com regarding our newest winter classes and events. Our SATURDAY SAMPLER is a pre-cut quilt and is only $8 a month. This club meets the fourth week of the month with your choice of either Tuesday or Saturday. Our first meeting will be January 24th and January 27th. Our sample of this Civil War quilt is ready for your inspection, so stop by and feast your eyeballs on this stunning quilt. Also read about our new DESIGNER OF THE MONTH SERIES which will run January through April 2009.

Our 2009 Poker Run is set for Feb 28 - March 7. We will be sending a bus from the Porch on March 7 to visit all the fabulous shops in this years' run for only $25 a person! There will be store incentives for those chosing to ride the bus, so don't wait to call and reserve your seat.

I could go on and on about all that's happening here, but I have to go out and shovel snow.

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas...

As if I wasn't already deaf from the 11 pipers piping, in comes 12 drummers drumming. We're talking a headache bigger that the state of Texas. It's time for the ol' true love to put an end to these escapades. I need a rest.

We won't be resting here tomorrow with 25% OFF ALL NOTIONS!! Also, you'll want to tell your true loves that tomorrow is the last day to get a gift certificate for you that will last much longer than 12 days!

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas...

These eleven pipers piping sound like the bagpipe group from Canada at the Water Carnival Parade. How do you spell
M-I-R-A-C-L-E E-A-R.

However, we're tooting our horns about the 25% OFF ALL BATIKS TOMORROW AT THE PORCH!! That's Monday December 22nd only.

Just a note about our Christmas store hours. We will be CLOSED December 24th & 25. We will open again on Friday, December 26 at 9am for our STORE WIDE SALE.

The nine ladies dancing all turned out to be about my age, so needless to say, there were a few pulled muscles and lots of sore feet. I must admit, though, they still knew how to trip the light fantastic.

You're going to be dancing for joy when you hear that our ENTIRE STOCK OF FAT QUARTERS ARE 25% OFF on Friday, December 19th only (sorry - pre-cut fat quarters only). You'll want to pick up one of the many new fat quarter books and patterns to go along with your purchase. Don't miss it.

On the Seventh Day of Christmas...

Uh, we seem to have a problem with the seven swans. There's no place around around Detroit Lakes for them to go
a-swimming this time of year. My true love will have to figure that one out...

However, we do have 25% off our entire stock of batting! By the looks of things, it's going to be a long, snowy winter, so now is the time to stock up. This sale is good Monday, Dec. 14th only and is good on in-store as well as phone orders.

You know, if my true love came to the door bearing 4 calling birds for me for Christmas, I think I would send him packing.
