Greetings Dear Friends!

First of all, can you believe the price of gas? I feel like doing a happy dance everything I drive by a gas station! Now if they could get the rest of the economy straighten out, life would be really good. However, if you need a place to get away from it all, we have the perfect solution for you.

Our MAPLELAG RETREAT is coming up quickly, November 6 - 9. You have the option to stay either two or three nights. If you haven't yet attended this retreat, you really should consider getting away from it all at this 1st class resort. The staff at Maplelag is accommodating beyond belief. This year we will have as our guest instructor Cindy Moores, a certified teacher for The Cotton Theory. For those of you who aren't familiar with this method, it's a patented "quilt-first-assemble-later" method which allows you to quilt pieces individually and then assemble them to make a reversible quilt. This class is being offered to both retreat participants and also as a 1-day class. The cost for the 1-day class is $69 plus supplies which included lunch and Maplelag's famous bottomless chocolate chip cookies. This class has limited enrollment, so call soon to reserve your spot.

Now that the weather is turning chilly, it’s time for you to join us for tea and scones as members of our Posey Packet appliqué club. It’s the perfect way to learn how to appliqué while making a beautiful appliquéd quilt. All fabric and notions needed for the class are discounted 15% on class day. This club meets every Tuesday from 10 – 12. This is a fun, laid-back group. If you can’t make it every week, no worries. We want to make this as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

Don’t forget about our Strip Trip Bus Hop on November 1. Cost to visit 3 shops and collect strips is only $25, lunch included!
