Hello Everyone~

The sun is shining...the snowbanks are about gone. It looks like winter 2008 is going to release its grip from northern MN and not too soon! Our Anniversary Celebration may have been postponed a week, but it ended up being even bigger and better than we anticipated. Our sincere thanks to all of you who attended and we hope that you were able to take advantage of the unbelievable values. We also want to congratulate the winners of our door prize drawings. The names are listed in our newsletter on our website.

There are a lot of fabulous upcoming events at The Porch. "Strip Club" is this next Saturday, May 17. Remember that you can come and go in this club as you choose. This months' pattern is another really fun project. Plan on joining us at 1pm to see what we've cooked up for this month.

The "Heart of the Lakes Shop Hop" is on the calendar for May 19-26 (yes, we WILL be open on Memorial Day.) It is usally held in August, but because of the "Quilt Minnesota" state-wide shop hop, we are holding it earlier this year. There will be daily door prize drawings as well as a Grand Prize worth over $1000. Call your friends, jump in your cars and have some fun touring the participating quilt shops. Visit our website and click on "events" to learn more about who, where & when.

Our "Tea Time Tuesdays" is off to a good start. This club meets every Tuesday, 10am-12pm. It features applique methods and the "Seed Packet" pattern series. This is a fun time to come and learn hand applique, sip tea and enjoy the company of fellow quilters. Join us as often as you like. Your presence is always welcome!
